Retail business, just like any other business engagement, requires some skillsets; it is more than just the exchange of goods and services for money. Retail business is a broad and versatile business enterprise that requires multiple sets of skills to operate and manage. Passion or profit alone is not enough; we need to study and learn about the business and become proficient at doing it. Unfortunately, retail business is one of the most abused business engagements around us which explains why we, as a country, have not been able to grow our retail industry like it is in the developed countries. This training or internship program aims at closing these knowledge and skill gaps and help our country move the industry to its rightful place in the development of our economy and creation of jobs.
Modu staff training and internship program is an initiative of Modu Sterling Global Ventures Ltd envisioned to provide on-the-job training program for young graduates and other individuals who would like to develop the skills needed in retail business practices and management and pick a career in the industry. The program is aimed at providing the selected candidates with specific knowledge, industrial training and on-the-job practices in retail business operation and management. The candidates after the completion of the training program should be capable of performing specific duties required for the successful operation and management of any size of a retail business and therefore be able to build a career in our organization.
