ONLINE STORE RETURN POLICY

MODU Shopping Mall ensures products stocked and sold meet the highest quality standards and are stored under the conditions prescribed by the product manufacturer. This we do to ensure that our products are safe for consumption and use by our customers and that our customers derive utmost satisfaction from every product purchased from us.


However, on an exceedingly rare occasion, there may be a genuine reason to return an item. While our online store policy allows for return of items purchased from us, we would like to intimate our customers of the risks associated with return of products and some of the measures we are taking to prevent our esteemed customers from becoming vulnerable.


  1. We keep our edible products under stringent conditions while on our shelves so that they remain safe for consumption. Once such products are sold out, we can no longer guarantee that they will be safe for consumption when returned by customers. For this reason edible items are not returnable.
  2. Similarly, any item that are capable of having direct contact with body or capable of ingestion into the body are not eligible for return. Examples of such products include body and hair creams, body perfumes, etc.
  3. We hold our vendors and suppliers highly responsible and accountable on all products supplied through their chain. By allowing for return of items which quality is susceptible to being compromised through poor handling and storage, we automatically weaken the accountability assigned to the supplier of such items.
  4. Products return always have costs associated with it, some of these are borne by the seller while some may be borne by the buyer. For as much as possible Modu Online Store would always want to prevent avoidable costs and save money for its customers.

Items not eligible for return.

Please note that the sales of the following items are final and they are not eligible for return.

  • Items on sales (that is, promo, discounted and clearance)
  • The supply of items made to your specifications or clearly personalized.
  • The supply of items which are not suitable for return due to health protection or hygiene reasons or which seal have been broken after delivery.
  • The supply of items which according to their nature become inseparably mixed with other items upon delivery.
  • Perishable goods
  • All baby foods
  • Wears
  • Frozen foods


 

 

Order Cancellation.

An order may be canceled at any time by customer if such order has not already been processed for delivery. If an order cancellation is successful, the refund of the price paid for the item (including the shipping cost) will be made via the original method of payment.

 

For as much as practical or possible we always make attempt to call our customers when their orders are ready for delivery, it will be extremely difficult for us to cancel an order that has been processed for delivery because at this stage the sale is deemed to have been completed. Once an order has passed the stage at which it may be canceled, the next step our customer may want to follow is to wait and receive the product and then initiate product return process.

Conditions for Returns

In order for the items to be eligible for a return, please make sure that:

  • The item was purchased in the last 7 days starting from the day the order was delivered.
  • Item must be in its original packaging. The item must not have been used. There must be an actual, not imagined defect in craftsmanship, design, or functionality of the product. The item must not have been damaged or altered during the process of coupling, assembling, or mounting it to supporting devices and accessories.
  • For item under warranty, the item should not have been worked on by any technician, certified or not, before being returned.
  • Provision of a receipt duly issued and signed by our authorized staff, fully intact and not torn should be presented.
  • Acceptance of cost and risk associated to returns.

 

 

Return Process

Below is how to return your items

  • Start your return on our webpage or mobile app by filling our online return form.
  • Go to your order list to make selection of item you intend returning.
  • Print your return authorization number and take the item down to any of our malls nearest to you. You may also want to schedule a pick-up with us but you would be required to pay the approved pick-up cost before we can be able to pick-up the item.
  • Place the item in its original packaging including any accessories, tags or labels.
  • Attach to the returning item the print-out of the return authorization number and original purchase receipt.
  • Wait for the stipulated number of days before the exchange can be made. The number of days should be counted from the day you are notified of the receipt of the returned item.
  • Once the return is received and processed, the refund of the price paid for the item (excluding the shipping cost) will be made via the original method of payment.

 

Note: Return is a privilege and not a right. Not all returns are acceptable and not all products are returnable. We therefore reserve the right to refuse returns of any merchandise that does not meet the above return conditions at our sole discretion.
